Land of Never-ending Summers

Eyes wide
Staring hard
Downing coffee
Staying awake
I cannot sleep

Early morn
Studying late
Heaps of papers
Notes to read
I must not sleep

Final test
Come Saturday
A test of skill
More like memory
I shall NOT sleep

Vague answers
Blurry figures
Maybe a short rest
Laid my head on the desk
I was soon asleep

I slept through the night
Sweet sinful sleep

Sometimes the brain has to sleep in order to maintain what you've shoved into it!  I know, and I have crammed for exams too!!!!  Great down to earth piece, and I like it!!!!

The road goes on forever, the stories never end, and people are the same the world over!

One time I was socializing in a restaurant and new friends kept coming in and we were talking and time was passing by and the waitress kept refilling my coffee cup and when I got out of there about one in the morning I must have drank about ten or twelve cups of coffee and I couldn't go to sleep until two days later...it was a terrible feeling...I didn't drink anymore coffee for about six months...James

Ah...so that's what I should do? Hmmm...try NOT to sleep?

Yanno? As contrary as I am sometimes, that just might work! Think I'll go try it now!   Thanks!

Interloper & Seymour Tabin:
Thank you! Maybe a insomnia isn't that bad... Or maybe, it's just my way of doing ANYTHING except study...

Startime, Lone Wolf & Sunnyone:
Yes, I guess most of us have went through sleepless nights too, studying for exams, staying up to work, etc etc... the list goes on... I realised that sometimes when I've not studied enough, and I just switch off the lights to sleep, I can't sleep even though I feel tired. I think that's my guilty conscience. haha.

JamesMichael:
Wow!! More than 10 cups of coffee??!! BLACK coffee? hehe. I'm not surprised that the effects lasted for a few days, though I'm surprised that you've not sworn off coffee for, like forever... heheh

So, my dear, good luck to you too... School is great, coz you get to meet lots of people, but there is just one aspect of school I don't like. I believe you know what I'm talking about.. haha

serenity:
What are you thinking of doing?? Try not to sleep? I think it's impossible... hahaha

(sigh) Oh Mon, I know just how you feel, I just finished my exams and I had a bad case of insomnia all last week! (sigh) I hope you feel much better now, sweet friend, we all love you so very much! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Mon, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

faterider: No, I'm not so arrogant to call that what I wrote clever writing... hehe, I meant 'thou shalt not sleep' was the essence of the poem.

Mistletoe Angel: Noah, hope you're over that bout of insomnia yourself.   For me, that has long past coz I got my results some time back...   No more insomnia for some time...
