Woven On The Wind

Marge Tindal*~

The wind has circled around the moon
out across the starlit loom
of ebony sky in streaking threads
weaving thoughts within my head

Something is woven on the wind tonight
I feel the cashmere sigh
Twi-of-light in mid-of-night
cradles the comet in iced lullaby

Crystallized in caramel eyes
I feel the ancient threading begin
Mariah tugs the heartstrings
'cross echoing plains in weave of wind

Strands drawn through ancient hands
drifts in snowflake back to me
Yes, something is woven on the wind this eve
glistening upon the lawn at dawn
in crowning glory of white majesty

*My immense gratitude to Trillium for the inspiring title*

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

Ahhh, you've painted such a pretty picture here Marge. A light dusting of crystals woven across the wind .... winter is on it's way! Much enjoyed.

Best wishes,

You are soooo coool...
this is SOO lovely Margie...
the imagery is delightful as is your poetic turn of phrase...which is your signature gift.

"cashmere sighs and carmel eyes" ...
"Twi-of-light in mid-of-night"

yeppers...thats classic Margie

Those endless muses of yours never cease to amaze me.

Absolutely stunning.....I was left in awe of the vision your poem evoked. Magnificent Marge. Can I ask where you got the picture from that matches your words so perfectly? It is magically beautiful.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Beautiful! I love your wording! Truly poetic, and I could FEEL that wind on my skin!

Poetry is an expression of feelings.  I do not write poems, but rather, the poems use me to write themselves.
