Michael Auguste's Eulogy

by Michael

One day the sea will know my bones,
cremated ashes in its spray.
Each pounding wave, a part of me,
no longer will I’ve words to say.

So while I’m here I’ll say them now.
A eulogy, myself I’ll write.
Who better knows yourself than you?
Perhaps I can give some insight.

Remember me when I am gone,
but don’t let flowers die for me.
Instead, plant some that they may live.
It’s really how it ought to be.

Don’t mourn my loss, but share your smile.
Some favors I must ask of you.
I lived my life as I saw fit
and did the best that I could do.

Please feed and hold a hurting child
and be the strength for those in need.
The clock is ticking, life’s too short.
I hope to plant in you, a seed.

A friend is such a special gift,
like marriage, but without the band.
Please let them know they’re dearly loved.
Sometimes just simply hold their hand.

Each day find something new to learn.
Don’t waste your time with tv sets.
Accept yourself for who you are
and you’ll find you have few regrets.

I’m ocean sands and salt and spray.
My laughter rides on each wave’s crest.
Do all you can for those in need.
I always tried to do my best.

Hi Susan.    Thank you for reading this.  Just trying to share a little wisdom and a bit of myself.  No need for concern.

oops, forgot your hugs, Susan.    ((((hugs))))  It's such a beautiful day here.  I think I'm going fishing and am gonna feed my pet Egret. I see the little beggar over there right now, patiently waiting for me to catch him some fish.   LOL
Have a great day, yourself.

This is very well done.  I know it is difficult but we should let our wishes be known to those close....because you just never know.
Lovely but sad write.  ~Nancy~

MIchael,

"I’m ocean sands and salt and spray.
My laughter rides on each wave’s crest."

I love those two lines.  They are just beautiful! *Hugs* to you for another amazing poem

I need a darn quote. *chuckles*

Michael, this is so beautiful, and full of wisdom. I agree, the sea will be where I end up someday, and in the meantime, we need to spread love and kindness if we can.

Beautiful thoughts and wisdom. Wonderfully written. (But what the heck is an Egret??)

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

I think your words and art will live, long after you are gone.  Hugs!

beautifully done...enjoyed..yes it would be nice if
everyone planted a flower in rememberance or a tree
that blooms in the month of their birth..my birthday
is in May so a pink or white dogwood would be nice ...

Your words will float gently upon the waves
and shimmer within the sands of time.

And flowers will bloom from the ashes of love,
and laughter will echo in the salty spray.

No, Michael
your spirit will not blow away.

Hi sweetie....it is a sad thing to think about---and I say, in the meantime, give 'em something to talk about!  And I, like you, if anything must be said about me in death--just say that I LIVED!!! ((((((((mikie))))))))
