Watching vivid colors dance
  Upon the grey horizon's face
Leaving me somewhat in a trance
The day's events for me to trace.
Red and gold-hued yellow merge
As sunset's orange takes the field
And life's energy slowly fades from surge
And to twilight the day yields.
Do not be troubled by coming night
  Do not your fears awaken.
There is nothing to cause fright
Do not be scared or shaken.
With the coming of the darkness cold
  And as vision slowly compromises
I sing the statement loud and bold
The sun, my dear, also rises!

Very beautiful description of sunrise.. the photo is beautiful also. Thanks for your comment on my sunset poem.. it was inspired by a sunset two evenings also..that I had to face, driving west..I believe it was the brightest red I had ever seen so bright I could hardly see to drive.
