Traveler Ending

There was a tremor of hope along a road of solitude
But she moved too fast.
She scared it away.
The path grew long, her feet calloused
Her mind turned to the peace of things passing by
And her love drifted just along beside her.
It drifted in her blind spot.
She thought it had abandoned her.
Now she remains cursed by her blind spot.
Won't you take her heart and pry it open?
The dust of years lies thickly,
Blocking the once vibrant light.
There was a tremor of hope along a blind spot in the road of solitude.
She went looking for it.
It had been hers all along.

Don't gain my affections then cover my eyes. Don't sweep me off my feet then fail to catch me before I hit the floor.

I have a notebook like this.  Perhaps I should go into it more.

Thank you.

Jenn, I do believe I love this poem!  I absolutely adore the images it created and the places it took me!  My favorite line: "It drifted in her blind spot. She thought it had abandoned her."  This thought stands out and will stick with me, very much so!  Great write!

This part was absolutley great..very thought provoking.  I wish you would post more from your notebook, if this is the kind of "scribblings" you are inclined to put in there!
