darkness overwhelms me
the sadness I cannot control
my life slowly meeting destruction
the heartache taking its toll

why can't I let go of my sorrow
release the fear and the pain
if only I could feel freee for one day
to be truly happy once again

I felt that happiness once
a time so long ago
when I felt the love of a gentle woman
now her love, I can never show

she touched my heart with angel's wings
showing heaven in her heart
she disappeared now I feel so lost
life without her I want no part

this beauty, this enchantress
who touched my life so dear
I want so much to feel her love
my heart dying each passing year

if only I could show her
how much she means to me
to feel her love once again
I'd give anything to make that be

the angel whom I call my friend

may the future hold the hopes I have

into her being, my love would go
to mend her lonely heart so cold

to feel her loving touch
to savor every tender kiss

This was the true sense of the word Longing. It's so hard to befriend someone whom you desire as your love. I feel you have gently given wings to this person and I hope they fly back to you.
