Stinging sands,
Wind whipped and lashing spirit,
Caught in eyes
Makes me cry,
Deep into my soul it’s sent,
Scrapes my skin,
Outside in,
Till blood trickles from the grains,
And skin burns
As seas churns,
Salt filled surf adds to the pains,
On the sands
Seas constant pounding on it.

Gloom

Sounds like you've done your share of sitting on the beach on windy days.. 'Tis erosive for sure... and you've described it well, PG..

Cleansing of cuts prevents infection -   Physically and spiritually, and salt water is more effective than plain.  Maybe the "No pain, no gain" applies here?  I loved it.

Would it be safe to presume that this particular wound never heals?  Well done

Thank you, Nan,
Yes I have, most recently on the outer banks.

Thank you, Sunshine,
To sting and to heal, sounds like one of those old style medicines,

Thank you, Carolina
That should actually read
Pain, and perhaps gain
just because you are in pain doesn’t insure gain.

Thank you, Spine Grinder,
Glad you enjoyed.

Thank you, Rose,
Never stop feeling

Thank you, Interloper,
Seems there’s always an open soar or two
On the soul.

Thank you, SpitFire,
I haven’t been keeping my site up like I should
I hope to improve soon.
Your words are kind

Gloom
