All along our narrow road
My desperate load
Truths untold
Love on hold.
Where we stayed
Nights we laid
A memory never let’s go
Second chances I’d blow
Hateful words I’d throw
Are we still so unknown?
I lost us back then
Missed your grin
You comforted my sin.
So, this is to you
And all we went through
If I’d only knew
I’d take back all time
And every tear
When you loved to be mine
Wish you were here.
Broken promises mended
All plans I intended.
Then, it was us
Our broken trust.
Now, it’s just me
Wandering
Still remembering
With relationships I’m found pretending
Regretting.
Days of change
No more pain.
Where I am
Lying face down in the sand
Holding a ring in my hand
Trapped in a Yesterday with all we had
Today, it’s our demons that haunt my mental land
Asleep, in a cold sweat I ask…….
“ Is it Tomorrow, yet, Suzanne?”

This was such a beautiful portrayal of a cherished love.  May love come your way again soon.  Take care.....Sue

Touching and poignant.  Sand does not taste good.  Wish you very much luck.

The self honesty of this is impressive...welcome!
