As on life’s road we ramble with all hopes on our back
We seek our dreams and callings as we wander down each track
We search for fortune, love and luck, then peace to join the night
Some friendship from the hand of fate, to turn our ventures right

We gaze upon the beauty of the world that seems so free
We find when asking of the truth, we know not what to be
We seek salvation of the Lord, to help us find the way
Then meet the souls of better men who thought they’d be OK

The road of life it weaves and turns, dismounts the ones unsure
But slowly with each tumbled fall we learn that little more
We find by taking small steps, not jumping here to there
We steady more and fall down less, with others start to share

We find that asking others, does lessen burdens load
And that knowledge bears no weight, when freely it’s bestowed
We find the answers to each quest, the calling of our way
We find that neighbours and good friends do lighten loads each day

The road of life we all do tread, some are long, some not
We may fall through times of quest, but nurture what we’ve got
We’ll find that learning never ends, from youth until we’re old
The road of life goes on and on and day to days unfold

It is a road of learning, of heartbreak, work and living
It is a road of many paths, of taking and of giving
The road of life is given free to each born to this earth
The road of life does test us all, on honour, faith and worth

Indeed - We certainly can choose our own route... and our destination - You've done a wonderful job of portraying our travels...

Step by step! Heartfelt message here. We are all just wanderers, if not for the guidance and encouragement of others. Enjoyed this so much.
Sincerely,
Regina

Rick~

'It is a road of many paths, of taking and of giving'

And each path has it's own rewards.
Very nicely done.

Dear Sunshine, you give your ray of sunshine with every reply, at times I feel as if I do preach and could write a sermon for a Sunday morning, but I must admit they are heart felt emotions.

Dear Nan, thank you for your posting and may you travel many more paths as your journey through life.

Dear Regina, always nice to hear from you, may we all encourage each other on the way through life and take the hand of those who need to be guided.

Dear Marge, thanks for your reply, we take from life and give from the heart. Each path is a test and a challenge.

Thank you all
Hope you are all well and submitting heaps.

With lots of hugs, Rick
