*revised repost from Open 6*

When I’ve been tossed about
On life's tumultuous sea
There's one place I can't do without
One place I can be free

When no wind fills my sails
And the oarsmen grow weary
There’s one place that cures my ails
A place where days aren't dreary

When the journey is done
And I seek a place to rest
There’s one place by the sun
A place far off in the west

This place is known by few
No map tells of its charms
It's the place I always sail to
The harbor of your arms

What a cool title and metaphor, SVEN!  That would make for a great song...

Oh this has such a wondrously fine title! It could be very spiritual in nature, though I do think you mean your flesh and blood loved one. Very fine, tender piece, Sven!

Mark, thank you. . . in fact, I did get the title from a song by Beth Neilsen Chapman called, "All I Have". . . it's beautiful. . .

Interloper, it's a place I hope that all of us will find someday. . .thank you. . .

Enchanted Melody, thank you for enjoying it again for the first time. . .

VAS, I do mean the physical, but it could also be very well applied to the spiritual. . . thank you. . .

Sandra, yes it is. . .hopefully, we all will. . .

This is the first time that I have seen this, and boy oh boy, it's so beautiful; the imagery, flow, sentiment and imagery are divine.  Gosh, I love your love poetry.  Stop making me so swoony, will ya?!

And of course, it's going into my library (which contains many of your poems)~

Sven,
What a vision of how we all want love to be, and to harbor us in its glory. You have captured all the longing and beauty here, and have taken me to another place that I dream to dwell in. Beautiful....
