Hoping out despair
placing something else where
a sorrow & a sadness once sullenly
sulkingly sat.
How to replace all that,
their opposites may seem extreme
staying with them though seems awfully mean

Moods just up enough
to bring an inward smile,
not always necessary
to go the extra mile,
only to reach joy
& stay a little while;

As cool as depression gets
how hard a bad memory is to forget
though can all be easily mended when let,
A story in the mind
can bite so hard & slow
that it seems the fight
is lost with time
as letting go
becomes something somewhere someone else may know
where then the battle & why
lose the war with misty cry
broken distraught looking to hide
until recovered then another ride;      Recording

Misty cry is lovely ....I get the real feel of  the ups and downs of moods  and how  someone    somewhere    can  trigger the difference ......thanks for this one Craig

I think this is a great poem, describes the ups and downs very well.
