So many said:
"You should get out,"
as the nails were pounded.
Too deep, to ever be removed--
I tried...I tried...
rage, compounded
within padlock's
circumstance
painted
in a corner, dry...
By my own
deft-handed loose--
left with me-
no path to choose...

every choice haunted by "why..."
with every tear a fear untried.

"Listen...whisper..."
Pass again.
Verbiage
of sacred friend...
Dancing shadows
drift pass me--
a shadow wonders:
"Who is me?"

Ive lost track, is it my turn to clean the mirrors?...ack, leave em streaked....
dont recognize the reflection anyway, right?
If its any consolation, I dont believe it will always be this way, time eventually brings choices.....

"well I been afraid of changing cause I built my life around you ...
but time makes you bolder...even children get older...
and I'm getting older too" ....

When your own emptiness is all thats getting through
There comes a point when youre not sure why youre still talking
I passed that point long ago

softly softly says K

Here for you dear...

on unlikely land with every step.

Nicely written, powerful poem.

Do not fear going forward slowly,
Fear only standing still.

Such turmoil within this.
"every choice haunted by "why..."
with every tear a fear untried."
Sure do know what you mean. You did this so well.

Serenity:

"painted
in a corner, dry...
By my own
deft-handed loose--
left with me-
no path to choose..."

If you walk across the wet pain you will make a path that is filled with your own footprints.  Very emotive writing and well done!
