You lead me to believe
There was a safety in your smile
Only to learn deceit
Is easily filtered through batting eyes
You've mocked me with promises
Which became twisted lies
Snaking with venom
Poison words
Left lingering on your tongue
Left whispering in my ear
Dreams left to the wayside
Disgarded
Because it suited you
Your situation became priority
My hopes were dashed
I was shadowed by despair
A lesson learned
Never to be fooled again
By batting eyes

lost in thought, found in words.

always remember. . . the eyes don't necessarily show all. . .

well done. . .
