Give me your doubts... Throw all your cautions to the wind... Don’t lock me out... For if you do, we can’t begin... Give me your fears... From your true happiness they take... Just give me your heart... And you will never feel it break Give me your smile, I’ll give you back a tender kiss... Give me your arms, then let me fill them with sweet bliss... Dont’ make me cry, for if you do, I’ll have to go... Just give me your heart, and if you do, I’ll love you so... Give me your love, I’ve waited all my life for you... Give me your songs, and I will learn to sing them, too... Don’t say goodbye, or we won’t have our memories... Give me your heart, I beg of you, just love me, Please... The road goes on forever, and the stories never end... |

your cry is heard, powerfully one might think about the line: "Just give me your heart, and if you do, I’ll love you so... " it does show conditional love, and by the rest of the poem, I have the impression you love the person first and foremost not just if they will love you, so I wondered if you might want to tweak this a tiny bit you said be honest, though gentle, I hope I have |

hi VAS... Yes, I do appreciate your help here...I see what you mean. I think I left it that way because it shows love for what it is, in our reality. Although we, as humans, claim to have and give unconditional love...we are just human after all, and there are always a few conditions, whether we like them or not. Nothing is truly ever unconditional.
