Drenched by the
Tears you cry,
But unable to stop the flow,
I tried to remember
The light that fell from
Your eyes…

Once upon a time…

How can this ache
That rattles like thunder
Through your heart,
Be salved by the promise
Of rainbows
Or memories
of sunshine?

I can not turn back the
Roiling clouds, or
Blow away the storms
That roll through
The empty plains
Of your soul.

I can only offer
The shelter of my arms,
As temporary relief
From tornadic emotions
And sleepless nights
Spent waiting  alone.

I like the way you represented the comfort of friendship through the metaphor of weather.  Nicely portrayed.

A lovely feeling, affectionate, caring poem of love and its ups and downs. You caring for the one that life has hurt and offering your arms as a place of warmth to hide and find the sunshine of a new day.

Nice read, great work.
