Silken gold hair falls
Statuesque sweet shape clad green
Nibbles round the ear

Yellow stars promise
Jade burgeoning love’s apples
Bring bread and mayo

Cool deep greenery
Surrounds flesh cool, crisp, luscious
Finger sandwiches

Oh, I just had lunch, but I'm thinking maybe I ate the wrong thing now......this sounded much better than what I had.  Fun one Lady

Although I confused some of the words (like nibbles) and had to return and read again to get your poems true meaning......  I think anyway,  it was written very creatively.  And I do like the 5-7-5 style that you used.  Delicious.

Yanno, this brought back memories of my Gramma and me when I was young.  She fixed these little round sandwiches like pinwheels and although I hated sandwiches and do to this day, I ate those!  Ah, thanks for the memory with this one, as it hit my ah bone.

I am remiss in thanking everyone for joining the picnic...

Virginia, you are so right, several levels, indeed....

Thank you Waseem...

Interloper...no...

Gentle Spirit...just a light repast....

Bob...glad you found the 5-7-5 pleasing....

Marge!  Spam?  And you didn't invite me along?...Shame!  Glad you enjoyed!

Worked for me, too, Auguste!

Vicky...my intent...your reading pleasure!

Shadow...BLT's coming up!

'Deer...those pop-top cans are just the handiest things ever invented, no?  Thanks!

Mysteria, so glad this was a hit!  Thank you!
