Listening to every heart

0 posted 2001-07-10 10:56 PM

Quietly Listening….

trying to shut out
everyday sounds
for I feel that you’re
somewhere, around
in the great dense
come forth in murmur
I lean forward
a little more sure
that if I lean into
this fond voice
then that is where I’ll
find my choice…

is it then, my conscience
speaking
for what was lost or
what I’m seeking,
or is it voice of
angels come
or just a fly
or mosquito’s hum?

where do these thoughts
come
some unbidden,
as if from deep source
in my past well hidden?
what have I not given
amend thereto?
should I go to knee
duly bend for you?

is it a bit of common
sense
that I hold forth now
in recompense?
is it an angel to guard
my moves
to fit me in a way
of safe groove?
or is God trying to
get my ear
is He calling to me
“listen, my Dear…”

might someone give
me the key
to open up this great
mystery
of these voices and
feelings vast
do they stem from
present … or past?

but with the voice
comes the feel
of hands touching
of a … surreal …
of a bond, a hope,
a guarantee,
and it warms the
heart of me,
it wraps the whole
of me,
encompassing the
fine of me…

yes, it’s in the Voice
I hear,
so I keep it close,
and very near
I try to shut out
the everyday sounds
as I feel you’re
somewhere, around
and I choose to
believe, my dear,
that you are my
angel,
standing quite near….

dedicated to all the poets, here.

Dear Sunshine, that voice is always there, though sometimes silent.
A great write which I much enjoyed.
