I no longer wish to write
Trying to share the things
Which inside of me
Have left the scars
Or the lessons learned

I no longer wish to paint
The images in words
Hoping others too
Can feel as well as see
What my eyes have gleaned
From passing scene or soul

I no shorter will
For it holds no meaning
No fire
No light

I will instead
Listen for a while
And watch again
The passing of cloud or rain
From horizon to apogee
And down to night

Perhaps these things
Will waken in me
The things I miss
The most

The words
To  move people

Oh how wrong you are...your words do move people...they certainly move me!  But there is never any harm in sitting back and listening for awhile    Beautiful write Ron.

Oh dear, Ron, I hope this is a poem only, and not a true feeling, or plan to go away. I truly appreciate your writing.

Thanks all... but I fear for now, I have issues within myself about what I write and share that need to be resolved before I can post again.... I do not plan to leave as I enjoy all too much the words you share...so I'll be around to comment and to listen...

No need to worry... heck...I am just sorting through things and my own disatisfaction with me...

Know, Ron, that I wasn't kidding when I said that if you published a book of your poetry, I'd buy it.  That means that your words, indeed, have moved me and made me think, many-a-time.  I hear you, if you're saying that you need to pull-back a bit and take a break, considering how prolific you've been on this site, but I hope this is just a break -- I always look forward to see what new visions you've put into focus...  Regarding this poem, though, I didn't quite get the "shorter" part of it...  any clues?

gracious, Ron, I always hate it when you're taking a time out, but sorting takes time sometimes and so, if you'll hang around and write as soon as , as soo as...don't know what to say, because can't be as soon as I'd want to read you again

at least I know of you that you do come back to writing...me if I stopped writing, I'd probably stop...I haven't painted since 1985 and I was water-coloring voraciously...and since I aspire to be a published writer...of course I am in tiny ways, but I mean in book/s of poetry and children's books, I don't want to stop writing...it must be nice to trust yourself and your ability to sort.

I understand your need to step back from writing for awhile...but I want to tell you that if I could write like anyone I read here on a regular basis, it would be you.

Sometimes the ink as blood doth flow
and in it's leaving lays us low,
We pour our lives out through the pen
the task is then to bleed again.

Never under estimate your ability to move others. Passions pages would really turn   if you stop writing my friend.
Reach  deep into your soul, and you will see what can be found.
Please DO write!
