Hey.  This is the other one that I wrote while I was up camping.  Doesn't really need an explanation...  Let me know what you think!

SHARI

Sitting here by an open fire
At the beach with so much to do
Fresh air, soft breeze
Yet my mind is stuck on you

Every time I see Goodwill
Or a "Sharis'" resteraunt sign
It makes me start missing you
And wishing you were mine

Every time a wave crashes
It reminds me of my heart you broke
Just like that open fire
That's now turned to smoke

But every time the tide comes in
It has to go back out
And the embers still glowing red
Remind me what love is all about

Just as time tide always comes in
A fire can be rekindled, too
A fire that is deep inside my heart
A fire that is burning for you

If someboy laughs at me, does that make me funny or just plain stupid?

Very nice write, Cody.
Time well spent while camping. HeHe

You wouldn't worry about what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did.

Great job here Cody. I enjoyed this one a lot. Another poem well written

VERY true.  I really enjoyed this... The flow and rhyme was very well done, and the message was awesome.  My fave stanza was the one i copied on here.  That has so much truth to it... wowsers.  Nicely done!
