I may be 18 now, all grown up
But I’m still your little girl
I've just grown up is all
I still need you both
You tell everyone that I’m your baby
But I don’t look like much of a baby
I may still be your little girl
But I’ve fallen in love
Mom & Dad – I need your help
I need your support
You’ve been there thru everything
I really care about him . . .
He’s not like the other guys
I’m still a little girl
And I might get hurt
So, in case that happens
I need you, Mom & Dad

*sigh* nobody cares

This is sooo sweet. And it applies to a lot of us out here at Pip. I enjoyed this. Keep posting!

Aww... Tamma, this is a very sweet poem.  That's the right thing to reach out to your mom and dad.  After my first real heartache I had a long talk with my mom, and realized she knows a lot more that I give her credit for.  LOL.  Best of luck in this relationship.  I hope all goes well.  And nice work with this poem.

let me add to the chorus of awwwws because this is a really beautiful way to express love for your parents.  I think parents get overlooked a lot in teen poetry, but you've hit the nail right on that cliche.  i hope you showed this to them!!!

I glad that you've realized that eventhough you are legally an adult, you're still young and still need help from your parents.  I hope things work out for you this time.  Thanks for sharing

all i can say is awwwwwwwwwwww  *hug*

And I cry to the alleyway
Confess all to the rain
But I lie straight to the mirror

Having the comfort of your parents to run back to can be helpful for many. I hope they serve a purpose well for you, Tamma.

Very sweet Tamma. I think you should show this to them. I'm sure they'd love it.

I don't know if 18 is hard or not, but I know what it's like to run to yer parents...I've done it so often. of course, I'm daddy's little girl, and momma's little princess, and Zu's angel
