Up From Thunder Mountain
~*Marge Tindal*~

Out across the valley in view of all who know
rises Thunder Mountain, from visions of long ago
Rumbling when Earth Mother cries in lament of pain
Up from Thunder Mountain the voices come again

Spewing forth the messages, spoken from ancient tongue
Up from Thunder Mountain, a new prophecy has begun
Like lava from the belly of the not-forgotten layers
Pouring down the mountain side, burning with aware

Saying the time has come for our voices to be heard
Up from Thunder Mountain, molten in spirited word
Mother Earth we hear the cries, cratered deep distress
Time to scale the mountain of your painful duress

Time to draw the waters from wells of knowledge deep
A new day is upon us, no more the mountain sleeps
We must save the earth from her misery of plight
Down from Thunder Mountain

I love this. *S* But the poem's power doesn't come with the noise of thunder... it seeps into the soul with truth's conviction... and opens hearts to listen. *S* Beautifully written!

This truly does go right for the "conscience" and it hit its mark!  However, it also puts me in mind of Mount St. Helen's out here when she blew and said her piece to all who listened, and trust me they finally listened.  Strong, powerful reminder Marge, and you get an "A+", he he

If I made you smile today then I did my job!

Oh ... it is a well so deep
Inspiration fairly seeps
From the ink of visions rising
Quilled with hope on new horizons~

Thank you so much.
