From within, inside my sleep, and the vain of wakefulness
I lay exhumed, still sweet perfumed, still wishing to be kissed
I lay exposed, of feelings shown, the inner ache of this
Torn of love, at the seams, the wish of life, inside my dreams
Where flickers show she still is here, perfumed virtue disappears
There she is, the world to me, and now I’ve found paralysis

My hero mumbles, I have worth, to claim within his bones
He lied through teeth, surrounding wreath, “I died here so alone”
My body crumbling, words are stumbling “sir take me to your home”
We lay in bed, I climb his head, we both share a stunning dream
His, a song, mine fades ‘fore long neither one of us will scream
Boys in beds, soaked, flailing, sad, but here our sins atoned

She wakes from dreams, in lonely bed, that once was in my head
Where aching sweeps, her heart in two, the living and the dead

Don't understand why this sat so lonely of replies for so long! This is outstanding, waltie! (A sonnet? Educate me! LOL) Very smooth nice flow and great construction!

Walt, I guess I'm on a roll with your poems 2day as I took a peak at another you had wrote...

Anyhow, I enjoyed the read sweetie and thank you once again for sharing a 'splendid' write from your pen...

this is very unique.  it reminds me when an actor on tv looks up into the sky and says "I wonder what that would be like...?" and an encapsulating sound accompanies the vibration of the tv screen and the actor is taken away. this is a very smart thought.
