I am your father,
Or uncle, or brother.
I am the words not spoken,
and regret filmed on the
Inside of your windshield
So that the world is never
Quite clear….

I am your Mother,
Your aunt, or sister.
I am the feelings never shared,
And loneliness spread like
Peanut butter on soft bread
So that it tears the basis
For understanding.

I am you…
Or me, or I,
I am the undeniable existence
Like shadows in darkness,
Denied by most, embraced by few
That lie darker than stillness.

Embrace me, or rebuke me,
As you navigate this maze
Of misshapen truth and pleasing lies
Surrounding the path you choose,
For I am life…
And I am death…
And I am inside you all…

unless bread is home-baked, it does indeed always tear under the spread of peanut butter....

grand imagery!

This is very interesting...

Vivid, Memories are just that, a piece of everyone and everything you know.

Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind...
