Needless to say, the infamous Forum Gang, aka Nan,Kit, and Sharon couldn't settle for watching that calm cowboy in the white hat ride away... The saga continues as does their quest for wisdom...

'Tis said that the Forum Gang traveled the land
Whilst killing no longer a sleight of their hand
Remembering lessons the calm man had taught
Those shoot-outs no longer prepond'rance of thought

The legend says that they looked far and then wide
For one in white hat whose grand wisdom descried
Reform for those outlaws - Kit, Sharon, and Nan
As quick as he came left this fine breed of man

The Forum Gang trekked 'bout the land but soon knew
To find the calm man there was much they should do
They must form a posse of poets their fate
To aid in this search they must be moderate

Yet from that day forth o'er a Passionate trail
All cowpokes had heard their historic regale
Whenever the Forum Gang rode into town
Folks all moved aside on the streets up and down

Nan whispered to Sharon, and then on to Kit,
And motioned toward the small shop she had picked.
They sauntered, all three, to the front of the store,
And yelled to the press-man to come to the door.

An order was given, and rightly obeyed,
He hustled to run off the copies, and prayed.
The ladies sat back with their paper and quill,
Till soon he returned and delivered his bill.

As Sharon and Nan proofed the copy supplied,
The man stood in silence, and shook deep inside,
They nodded approval, Kit reached to her side ...
And tossed out a coin, as the shopkeeper sighed.

They hung up the posters all over the town,
Jumped back on their horses, then rode to sundown.
The town folk emerged from their hiding with dread,
And gathered 'round posters to see what they said.

A picture was center upon poster's full page
A man in a hat of undetermined age
His eyes so kindly, a wisp of a smile
Even the youngest gazed in awe for awhile

Wanted! It said on the very first line
(tis said that this was writ' by deVine)
A man of calm nature who gives of his best
A man who surely has passed Solomon's test

Dangerous, yes, to those who don't see
The beauty in writing, in sweet poetry
The reward was listed, as please see above
The reward was right there, the reward was love

And the poster was read both far and near
But the calm man in the poster was hiding in fear
You see he waited for the Forum Gang to arrive
He feared he wouldn't make it out alive.

So they search high and low, in states north and south
Looking for the man with the smile on his mouth
Nan, Kit and Sharon - riding each night and day
One thing on their minds, one thing they must say.

Each town that they passed, each poet they met
Was told to keep faith, they'd find him yet
One day when they almost gave up all hope
They saw him standing atop a tall slope

He waited for them to come up to his place
He shivered in fright til he saw each face
"Welcome home," he said extending his hand
"Let's all live here, in my poetry land"

And they built up the place where others could go
No walls did they need, no egos to show
Friends together, in trust and in fate
The Forum, The Gang and the man with no hate.

Ron in his white hat, tamed the three wild women and took them under his wing to spread the good words.
May I say you three did great rounding up Ron.

I say put the three of you in passions prison and never let you go--heh

There is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar.

But… but… but… that's MY picture on the poster!

Obviously a case of mistaken identity, complicated by way too much gin on that long-ago night. You guys were supposed to be looking for a guy in a WHITE hat. With a much wider smile. You know, one of the good guys? And I'll bet he was a whole lot younger, too!

Too many years passed as time always flies
for three sexy gunfighters with colorblind eyes
They forgot the white hat, Sharon, Kit and Nan,
And innocently captured the wrong damn man!

(But thanks for the delightful poem and belly laugh!)

seeing it here, I would get not a thank
you looked like you wore a Michigan snowbank!

The Fierce forum gang strike again
somewhere along messing up the plan
Darn it they kidnapped the wrong man
still he rules this site like no else can.

Ok yours was better a lot better lol enjoyed the read. Ron thought he could fool everyone by changing his hat.

the three lady poets, cum lau-re-ate
circled the man in the wrong black hat
and backed him up to that old hanging tree...
crying "grant us our Passions in Poetry!"

The black hat you see is but meager disguise
They're sure of this man - There'll be no surprise
His smile is wider - It comes from his heart
No doubt his sincerity sets him apart

He says that he's older and time's left its mark
The Forum Gang knows better than that remark
For time cannot alter this cowboy within
They do wonder though if he's still got some gin...

p.s. - I don't really like gin all that much..

they get to do ropin'
and ridin' and shootin'
and such

for tis sometimes play
that can make her day
she'll love,here to stay
very much!

is one of the breeds
whose sown wild seeds
were stolen

Though try he did to hide from view,
His love of poetry,
Emerged to shine a guiding light, which

Circled three to he.
Alone no longer, others came, from
Lands both far and wide,
Miraculous, the circle grew, with

Millions by his side.
Appreciation quickly rose, across poetic lands,
No longer lives were black or white … for PiP began.

LOL ... more, more!

I know these women are wild, Ron, but they write great poetry!

To the "Forum Gang" ,
Can't let this go , no siree , no not me ,
I've got to ask if you three fine ladies ,
are in need of some transport ,to follow his track , if so I've got plenty of room on my back .While the rest of them cowpokes are stumblin' along , I'll bring the wine and you three gals along . An' then maybe we can show Ron a good time , ala Moose for the lack
of a more fitting rhyme .
