who's nuttier?
the nut?
or the one who eats it?
cause though the nut maybe crazy
and may be on drugs like prozac
zanex, pot or crack
won't the one who eats it be just as bad?
or does that defile some sacred half truth
like the myth that all short people are strange
or the legend that peter pan made peanut butter
and if he made peanut butter,
does that mean he hated nuts so bad
he wished their demise by being crushed?
or was he just an overpaid moron
with nothing better to do but beat nuts.
perhaps he could steal the nut cracker
and make it sweet with honey from the honey box
but then again maybe the nuts were broken by rocks
that were found on the korean coast
a land that can't be broken or tamed
were love is a word spoken in whispers
for it is a fleeting thing
here today gone tomorrow
when the land desires to be cruel or kind
it's whim is that of a child
and it will break you
it will make you
become the nut
for your neighbor to crack
and your enemy to eat
