Midnight’s Silence
with love, RJ

Come to me
in midnight's silence
when the moon
mounts the sky
pale and full
as a new mother's breast
and the stars sparkle
with the anticipation found
in young lover's eyes.

Our mouths explore
uncharted galaxies
as our bodies
arms and legs entwined
map new constellations.

God created the heavens
and the earth
in six nights and days
but we are creating
new worlds
with each touch
designing solar systems
with single words
soft sighs
gentle moans.

A nebula
forms within me
pulsing
burning
crying for release.

My lover
hovers over me in space.
Seconds flow into minutes
minutes into hours
yet time stands still
as we discover
the passion of the cosmos.

On the seventh day
God rested.
Is it sacrilege to say
I never want to stop?

Well I have to tell you the truth, it takes a fine piece of work to move me.  You poem wrapped me in the arm of a gentle breeze and then blew me away with the imagery.  Your style is absoutely fantatic, and I shall definitely make sure I try not to miss any of your work...off to the archives now to see the intimate relationship between you and your muse.  Oh did I tell you I lvoed it?   Thank you
