Forever Eyes (Lai) Invading my dreams Lost in them, it seems Those eyes Shine they, moon-like beams Rise desires, teems Deep sighs Sewn in mind, in seams "Forever eyes", they stream My skies ~~~~~~~~~~~ Rainbow's End (Lai Nouveau) Through clouds, soft gray, will rainbows wend It's colors bright, on earth to end Tale Told The silken breeze, drops rain to mend The hunger, thirst, on limbs that bend Unfold To natures reach, to touch, suspend To all the living, life amend The reds and blues and hues extend At cease of storm, with yellows blend Of Gold A rainbow, raining gifts to lend Of hues in calm, to kiss, earth send Behold It's colors bright, on earth to end Through clouds, soft gray, will rainbows wend ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Our Plight (Virelai) Silhouette of night Whispers she, delight In Lace Midnight sees no fright In eyes, that shine bright His Face Caressing 'til daylight Arms surround her tight Embrace Giving up the chase His, she says, with grace Love You Take me, your own pace Desires rise, hearts race Anew Lift me to your face Kiss me, on lips, place Tattoo Touched by morning dew Wetness, lips of two Just Right Needing, wanting you Morning, nighttime, too My Knight Seeking mind's eye view Forever loving you Our Plight ~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Wynter/Maureen/Moonchild "The worst prison would be a closed heart". |

Denise thank you, this is a harder form to write in, in fact I wrote one about writing them: The Perfect Lai I'm playing you know With words that should flow And rest Your face all aglow As eye's follow slow A test Just trying to show How perfect lais go This quest.... I jest  It's a form that can drive you crazy  ~Wynter/Maureen "The worst prison would be a closed heart". |
