She wore her sadness like a medal
It was bright, shiny, and said poor me
growing up, never happened for her
crying still seems to get her fed

But I'm not one for hurt puppies
unless they are real
and then I will cuddle and keep them
and treat them as they deserve

This one says a lot, James.  Kind of like the boy who cried "Wolf" in a way.  Those who are truly hurting are the ones who need you most.  Well said.

All writing comes

Very good write.  It said a lot, I can not stand whinniers...but will help anyone who needs real help.  Reminds me of a lady I worked with the complained all the time that the world did not treat her right, and never did a thing to help herself.
