as I sit on the beach at dawn,
the brilliant hues having caught my eye,
I see only your face in this majesty...
hardly a few short hours ago,
I was lying in your arms,
absorbing the stillness of complete bliss...

as I lie back on the subdued sand,
the refreshing ocean spray having taken over my senses,
I only remember your touch in the night...
just yesterday,
I was staring into your eyes,
tasting the sweetness of your kiss...

as I stare at the heavens above,
the animated clouds having captured my attention,
I think of the shadow of doubt in my mind...
not all that long ago,
we were face to face,
enjoying the exclusiveness of one another...

as I close my eyes to the world,
this question having taken over my mind,
I can only wonder...
precisely like yesterday,
was my love enough to keep you,
wanting me, no matter who walks into your life?

as I notice the scent of the ocean,
the sweet salt water having made its way into my heart,
I remember your whispered words...
as I have today,
I long to have you here with me permanently,
providing you with the ecstasy your spirit has required...

to be with you...
I've tried to hide my passion,
but it's just no use...
piece by piece I lose it
when you walk into the room...

This asked so many questions...
was my love enough to keep you,
wanting me, no matter who walks into your life?
...that I have asked myself.  It is rare that I read something that I can so perfectly relate to as I did every word of this.  And you wrote it with perfection!

snowpants, your memories are so clear. And you paint a very pretty picture.  If it is right, you will get more than memories.  Hugs
