Again the day
The glass is empty,
The sun intrudes mercifully
While the wind stirs as usual
In the new town.
Birds, cars, children, early morning work risers,
Stir also with new day voices.
This is a goodnight in reverse.
Yawning and feeling comfort in cool sheets.
Never was an early bird
Unless I stayed up all night to see it.

In the worst of times, let me drift beneath the cloak of Oblivion. I favor the night as it favors me.

yawning and comfort in cool sheets...ah yes. I hate the morning. I wish it would come later.

Nanners,
Thanks much!   Maybe I should stay up and write at the same hours every night..err..day. LOL!

PoeticKnight,
LOL! On a lucky day for me, it does come later.   Thanks for reading!

Sven:
Sleep? Ohh...such OBSCENE language escapes your lips, sir.   I couldn't think of doing such a thing because it gets in the way of writing and good friends.

I'm with you T, don't much like mornings myself.  Great read.
