Listening to every heart

Keeper of Treasures

White Feather, born of long-ago love
welcomes the mourning of gray dove
salutes new morning Sun on high
hails well all apparition's sighs

walking in steps of heart-melt measure
keeping close all earthly treasures
and lo she is nature's keeper, one
who lives as 'tho she'll nigh be done

a loosed feather of hawk to find
willow branch in round she winds
a spider's web she places on the round
so that only good dreams may be found

all blessed creatures of the earth
come to White Feather, trust her worth
a maiden, fine, virtuous to all mankind
ancestral stories dwell on her mind

a Keeper of Treasures, she shares them well
and weaves them fine of silver, with her spells
enchanting all who may come along
the call of flute on wind becomes her song

a friend, who through the skies, extends
her hand, and waves the sun goodbye again

Karilea, this is a gorgeous tale with a perfect visual, I just know that Marge will love this! I'll even be bold enough to say that this truly is one of your best

Take care,

Karilea~

When spirits call
across the mountain
echoing in beauteous phrase
I am content to walk the wind
listening for all my days

Yet, upon a spirit soar
I envision even more ...
Before I lay me down to sleep -
I'll walk with you - in treasured keep

Soul companions
reaching forth with heartfelt songs
heard on the winds
where friendship ... belongs
to those who know
where Spirits are walking
among kindly poets
with quill-of-talking ...

Weave on cherished spirit
reflection of my heart~
Join me now in singing
for we are never far apart~

*Have I told you today - that I love you ?
Listen to the wind ...
for it brings my song~
Thank you for the sweet gift of YOU !

Great reading this piece, Sunshine.
My niece made me a "Dreamcatcher", it made me think of her, and how she's grown.
Thanks.

me thinks poetess Sun has been gifted a feathered muse of her own ...
and is weaving wonderful words of spirit...
with ribbons of spun Sun..
for the second time today...I say ...
this does both Whitefeather and Sunshine, much justice.
very cool write K.

oh you speak to me in riddles
and you speak to me in rhymes
my body aches to breathe your breath
your words keep me alive

Sunshine--

a smile on face
a sweet embrace
a heart so tender
words to render
sing your shine
all the time

This was yet another of your Nature poems that mesmerize. The Indian themes are so well done...I love the last 2 lines:

a friend, who through the skies, extends
her hand, and waves the sun goodbye again

You are all so very kind....we all know with whom the spirits walk, but sometimes they reach over and whisper to me so that I might join the journey....
