The pendulous beauty of the fuscia hangs free
So many beautiful baskets of flowers around me
The snapdragons yawn to the sun as they wake
While birds look for nectar
From the flowers they take
A blackbird stops to rest
On the birdbath and sighs
As he splashes around
Before he takes to the skies

The water flows freely
From the face on the wall
As it flows into the water feature
What a lovely sound is born
So relaxing is the sound
Of water running free
Especially in the garden
What better place could there be?

The white butterfly bush with its flowers so sweet
Sways in the wind nearby the garden seat
The cupid with his harp
Gazes down at the blooms
While above him huge bird of paradise leaves loom
They arch overhead
So majestic is this sight
As the day starts to close
With the coming of the night

A welcoming seat in the garden awaits me
Where I can sit and relax
Beneath my beautiful birch tree
As I sit here and close my eyes
All my senses are set free
These are the things that make me feel so alive :

So much color and beauty to SEE
Songs of the birds to HEAR
Beautiful fragrance to SMELL
Soft petals to TOUCH
Sweetness of the apples to TASTE

Oh but to share the seat under the birch tree.  What a beautiful, beautiful poem once again you have done about your fabulous garden.  How I enjoy these poems as they are so serene, and calming.  Thank you.

Hi, I'm boarding the plane this night. How long of a flight is it? Seriously, now folks. This is beauty in poetry.

Thank you so very much to everyone who was kind enough to leave me a comment on my poem. The picture I painted with my words is true, this is in fact what my garden is like and it gives me great pleasure to write about it and I hope you all enjoyed your journey as seen through my eyes.  Thank you so much........Sue
