Shadowlands and caverns
in the nether world of gloom,
hold a strange attraction
like a sickly sweet perfume.
Some are drawn to darkness
and prefer to dwell in these.
Affinity to evil
is a self procured disease.
But why love death and loathing
when what’s right could set you free?
Why proceed in blindness
when the light could help you see?
But darkness always blames the light.
It cannot comprehend.
It tries to punish righteousness
but always bats the wind.
It ever takes the way of doubt
with cynical replies.
The foolishness of folly’s voice
pretending to be wise.
And have you ever noticed
when the arguments of sin
come tumbling through your reasoning
and rise up from within,
that they are really not your own?
They’re from a low, unholy throne.

Shadowlands and caverns
are the place where Satan lurks,
The iron smelting furnace
where his tortured concience works.
The mysticism he pretends
to hold the deepest magic,
is really utter boredom,
the lowest and most tragic.
Yet he wants to captivate you
with his trickery and gaze.
He never wants you to behold
just what’s behind the haze.
Escape, you have been taken!
He’s decieved you with his grin.
He’s made himself seem awesome.
He has told you he will win.
But dare to ask the King of Light
to crumple his disguise.
Truth will show what emptiness
was passed off as a prize.
Run to Love himself and see
what lands of light there are.
Flee the shadowlands and find
in Christ the Morning Star.
For Satan lost his primal name.
Let God alone recieve his fame.
