Yeah so it’s Valentine’s day, And I’m here with you, ‘Right where I belong’ But I wish you would just go away, “Happy Valentine’s day, I love you”, If you say that one more time I might be sick, I hate when you touch me like that, Like I am the only the one who matters, Like you are the only one who matters to me, Well happy Valentine’s Day, you’re not! |

An interesting poem. Perhaps the speaker is taking the affections of his/her lover in the wrong way. On the whole, this was a good piece exposing the less desirable sides of love and romance. "If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh" |
