As I sit drowning in my mind weaved sorrow
The poisonous thoughts tell me not to be here tomorrow
For the lover I once had is forever gone

The message I received was one that concealed any kind of loving feelings
It sent my heart and my mind reeling
As the mean words spewed forth like an erupting volcano

Now I feel like a wild animal in side of a cage
Where my mind can’t hide my heart from this self-induced rage
As I find that I long for death to come and relieve me of my pain

As I have wasted my fortune and time by giving my heart away
I will no longer live with the deceit I have been handed on this day
I give up and give in to the feelings of this self-induced hate I have for myself

Ah, this is so sad. However, a heart given away is never wasted. Just a new learning experience. Hopefully some happy memories after the pain.

I enjoyed this. I've been exactly where you are. Going through it again, though this time it's not me feeling the pain, but my soon-to-be ex-husband. I feel I have "wasted my fortune and time". But life will go on and I will have learned.

Beautifully and heartfeltly (I don't think that's a word) put.

Tracey..you are very right. No love is a total waste. I am sorry for the problems you are going thru. just don't give up
