I seek him in the coldest nights,
Pleading for some relief,

Gaining no new answers,
I commemorate my loss,

The coldness creeps in,
Surrounded by resentment,

I have no use for him,
For he provides no answers,

I picture him being just like me,
But it isn’t the same,

His powers are vast,
For he created me,

But why then-
He decides to hate me?

great expression of something that is so painful yet these days so sadly common. Where are all the fathers? I have seen my own once in my 26 yrs of being, great write, appreciated by as a child and as a writer.

I know where you're coming from.  My father has no part in my life, and honestly, I wouldn't want him to.  Good Job!

I understand the pain and the hurt, but I also in a weird way thank him for bringing me in this world. It just seems that I left confused.

So sad, perhaps it all rests on how you look at him - ie. in what sense.. An unloving father, or simply a man that made you??
