to chase her moment
another second too late
please let me forget retreat
delicate screams surrounding love
in the bitter war around us

in this moment
my world completes your hostility
your world defeats my purpose

to believe her beauty
reflects a tainted surface
please let me ask why
yell out for infuriation
inbetween the cries

in this love
weakening the path yet strayed
your exception sacrifices the end

to glance her way
threatens my blind will
please let me see this
running down broken alleys
disappeared in condescending

in this dream
haunted by afterthought
memories of little footsteps guiding me

to bury her fingers
never healed the turning world
please let go of me
hidden within a shadow of truth
whispers fail forgiven resistance

in this moment
everything except empty
everything except beautiful

to love her sacrifice
a smile thought of heaven
please let me wake up
beside the dead to believe
there is no emptiness in her moments

"in this moment

everything except beautiful"

Intriguing description here.

Another fine work, Amy.

"In this dream
haunted by afterthought"
I particularly liked that quote because many dreams are afterthoughts of what has passed, and some are forsights into the future.

Wow! This is a brilliant poem and beautifully written! I am amazed by the way it gives out several different emotions.  To say you were inspired to write this poem, well now you have inspired us too! Excellent!

Trult appreciative
