searching
in a black hole
for my head
and my soul
i find the ugy beast
once more

don't yell out loud
or call its name --
the attention you get
might be too insane

in whispering voice
the beast will seduce
and say all is right
with the world --
save the noose

but in your mind
you know the truth
suppression and
censors are 'round
on the loose

My calling before me, let quill be my offering;
For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive.

M.A.

family oriented dark poetry?

interesting pay to present repressed emotions. Nice work.

I did like this one a great deal. *throws darts*
You obviously have quite a talent. I'll go read your other one now.
