A very VERY dear friend of mine completely destroyed me not more than an hour ago. It's terrible, but htis poem helped a lot. And if she does check my poetry here: I'm so sorry Becky, I should have forgiven you.

Have you ever had someone you love?
Someone you don’t just love, not because you should
But someone you connect with

Have you ever had that person more mad at you than they’ve ever been mad before?
So mad that they will tear you apart
And then leave you for dead in a ditch, and come back days later sorry?

Have you ever been equally mad at them when they come back?
Who are they to do that to you, no matter what you did
You thought you knew them better than that…

Have you ever?
Probably never
But if you’re clever
You’ll hate forever

Have you ever thought what you did was wrong?
To leave that person in the ditch and go home?
And not think you’ll care when they show up at your door

Have you ever cried for the person you hate?
The person you closed your door on
And reminded them of what they did to you?

Have you ever realized how selfish it is to hate for hate?
To be mad at someone for being mad at you?
As hard as it is to say you’re sorry after such a thing you’ve done

Have you really ever?
Could easily be never
But if you think you’re clever
Don’t you dare do what I’ve done!

If you ever feel like you’re a gaping hole of life
Don’t vent it on the source of your strife
Embrace that person, innocent as the dove
Fill your heart and being with their warmth and love

I dream things that never were and say why not." ~RFK

Wow, nicely done here!!!
This was awesome. I loved it......especially the "if yer clever" part......Oh my, very well done here. I truly enjoyed this one!

Pretty good. I liked the repeated rhyme in a few lines. Of course, you don't want me to go and praise the format, do you?
Well you expressed your ~emotions~ nicely here, Bryan. Good job.

This was really well done. I understand being so mad at someone... even mad at them for the way they reacted when they were mad at you. I'm sorry you have to go through this.

WOW!! That was a great poem. Good luck with the situation, I think I know what you're talking about...but I decline to give any advice, cuz I'm tired and don't feel like making anything worse .
