State of constant confusion!

Through all the darkened nights
I spent wandering the earth
I found but only one oasis from the silence
It was shining brighter than even the eastern star
And it's hue more splendid than that of water that
Quenches the most desperate thirst
You, a solitary flower, there waiting in the night

What a sweetly romantic Valentine! And what a lucky someone you have written it to!

Very nice, Jeffrey. I found myself thinking of a single red rose upon seeing your title. What a lovely thing to compare a person to, a lovely, solitary flower.

Jeffrey, God love ya, this is great, I loved it because it was original, so many poems about roses (I love roses but...)

Jeffrey~
Hello again, my dear friend! It has been a hasn't it? But, though I have been tied down with work too much here lately, I couldn't stay away from my other "home" on Valentine's Day!

Thank you for sharing this lovely poem.

Thanks guys !!!
This was written for someone I met last summer in hopes that I would be able to give it to them today, alas, we have moved on to different things so I thought I would post it here where I knew she would see it. KC this is for you, Happy Valentine's Day!
