ValenTankas Of Olde

~*Marge Tindal*~

From Poe to Lenore
'Merely this and nothing more'
Breezes blow her name
'Tis the wind and nothing more.'
'Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore." '

~*~

Oh, 'Annabel-Lee'
'In this kingdom by the sea'
'The stars never rise'

but hold you in great surprise
'darling, my life and my bride.'

~*~

'She covered me warm'
'When the light was extinguished'

Lit my heart at best
'For it sparkles with Annie'
'Of the love of my Annie—'

*A Valentine or two 'tweaked'
with a little Poetic license.

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

Aren't you the clever one...a delightful jaunt...worth a ticket, offered for free!
Well-done, Marge!

what a VERY cool idea Margie...
very clever and unique theme.
I was just saying how cliche' Val.Day is and you took the old and made it new...
very cool indeed.
Happy VD day sweet Margie-girl

In the evening when you see my eyes
Looking back at you no disguise
Im not sure who you think youll see
Im just hoping youll still know that its me

LaryALee~
Thank you so much.
I like the very idea of a 'tweaking bird'.

JanetMarie~
Well ... I just LOVE the idea of I LOVE YOU being cliche !
I'm tickled you enjoyed it even half as much
as I enjoyed creating it.

JeremyD~
Why, I surely thank you, sir.

Elizabeth~
It was great folly !
And I got to reacquaint myself with three
of Poe's ladies of the heart !
Thanks for letting me know you like it.

Melissa~
Thanks, honey.
It was a good workout for the literary mind !
Glad you enjoyed it.
Happy Valentine's Day to you too !

No-one could ever accuse you of having dust on anything olde you come in contact with as you always give it a brightness and freshness of "Margequisite" value. Wonderful originallity my friend and so enjoyable to read.
