You spread my wings Taught me to fly Never trapped me in an earth-bound cage You are my anchor When I'm soaring high Hold me up Never let me fall I gave my heart to you Let you fly free You returned to give your heart to me We've grown to share a single pair of wings Love like ours grows stronger year by year Enotneicna SLR 2-8-01 Words are my medicine. Temptress......Some things worth having are worth fighting for......by that I mean fighting to make things work out especially in this disposable society we live in. This is an exceptional write about love...I enjoyed reading it very much....great stuff! The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges. |
