Forget me Not

I lay upon a field of doubt
Forget me not grow round about
I fleece the petals one by one
Until each flower nude and done.

She flew beyond my net of catch
No matter how I let or stretch
Genuflect my head to clover
Tried to be a Casanova.

I tried to do what seemed was right?
Swore in the sun and moon by night
I could not sail upon her sea
Nor could I sell the suit of me.

I let her drift just drift away
Perhaps we’d meet another day.
Perhaps she’d have a change of heart
Perhaps, perhaps, a brand-new start.

So here I lay a field of doubt
Fleecing forget me not about.

She loves you - She loves you not - She loves you - She loves you not - She loves you.... How could she not, dear Sy???.... Neat poem, my dear friend..

Waft every crest upon your destined sea.
Embrace the Wave of Serendipity,
Lest its elusive arcane ecstasy
Refurl with sail for all eternity.

I really like this!  Even if it is plaintively sad.  My favorite line is the one to rhyme with clover, he he, you Cassanov(er), my mind said. he he he he he he

Oh my... I love this, ~sigh~...but I hate the word "perhaps", it seems to get in my way all the time..

now WHO could forget you????
if "she" did ...

it could only be ...
she never read your poetry.
For once kissed by your rhyme ..
you could never be out of sight or out of mind.

and how cool is this line....

"I fleece the petals one by one
Until each flower nude and done."

WAAAAY COOL ... thats how
Me thinks in this garden ...  forget is a weed

Heaven bound on wings of love,
there's so much that you can rise above.
I surrender heart and soul,
sacrificed to a higher goal.

when you write, and write like this
forget-me-nots will not forget
for in the nude, they received your kiss
and forget they not, a moment's bliss...

Vas,
Oh you mean casanova in the clover. LOL

Nkad,
A pound of perhaps and a pound of maybe and you got a good shot at the lottery. Thanks for the read.
