Okay, be honest...is this one absolutely a flatliner or has no one read it?

I posted it on another board and there's been no comments there either.  People have read and commented all around it but no comments on it.

Please tell me if it's because no one read it, or because it is totally non-pulsed.  Yes, I do men non-pulsed...no heart beat to it at all.

This is uniquely penned.  I like the image "skiff of snow, pock-marked in cat prints."  My interpretation of this short poem is that it is both hopeful and mournful, in that the morning brings new hope with the cat still able to stir life in the cold snow, yet also reminding the reader that dark winter surrounds.

I'm not sure if you meant this to be a haiku, if so, it does not follow the 5-7-5 syllable count in order to be one.

I am sure that you will get more replies, for some reason open 12 is slow tonight.

Take care,
Melissa

No, not meant to be haiku.  Though the count of haiku does vary.  Don't think it would be acceptable to use this many syllables all together, though.

Nope, it's just a short poem, 3 lines seemed like all it needed.

Thanks for reading and commenting.
