I am warmly tempered, vibrantly brushed
I wonder how the sculptor's hands would mold me
I hear a cricket's chirp massaging me into peace
I see your mind guess what scent I'm wearing
I want to be painted nude for your eyes only
I am warmly tempered, vibrantly brushed

I pretend I am a waterfall cascading over shiny pebbles
I feel unrestrained as the butterfly riding a breeze
I touch that breeze and
I worry I may have caused harm
I cry when I find a blue Robin's egg crushed
I am warmly tempered, vibrantly brushed

I understand not everything can be understood
I say it is never too late to begin again
I dream my kiss will penetrate beyond your furrowed brow
I try to walk a mile in someone's shoes
I hope I will feel the revitilizing sun of many dawns
I am warmly tempered, vibrantly brushed

Caresses the harshest of curves.

Oh, My, Marge and I are in grand agreement.  This was superb and she chose my favorite line as well.  You surely are warm tempered and vibrantly brushed.

So happy I peeked in!!!!!

Marge-- I make birdhouses as a hobby, so I reference birds alot...I can't help myself.
You're sweet for reading and commenting. Thank you!

VAS-- If truth be told (Ok, I'll tell it) I tend to have a temper (as we all do I suppose) but wanted to turn that into a good thing, hence 'warmly tempered, vibrantly brushed'
Thank you!

Mark-- These pages certainly ARE a pretty shade of blue, made even prettier with the beautiful poems I find here.
Thank you!

Well, chanson, tempered steel is much stronger but I think it's more flexible, too, because it's stronger.  I'm sure warmly tempered IS a good thing. ;o}
