Paranoia

I sit, I think “why do people stare?”
I believe its because they don’t really care,
The looks they give, the things they say,
These are the reasons for me feeling this way.

The feeling in my heart travels to my head,
Then down my arm, to this pencil of lead,
I put these words down onto paper,
So that people will know how I feel forever

To others I try to do no wrong,
Even though I’ve had these feelings so long
Now out they must come so others can see,
The pain they cause, by laughing at me

What is it these people aim to gain,
By whispering and laughing and causing my pain
I hope and pray the day will come,
When like others I’ll feel, even happy as some.

~Steve~

I sit and read this piece which i wrote about a year ago, and it's difficult to believe that i felt like this only last year........
How things can change so much in such a short space of time.

Indeed Steve. . .a year can seem like a day. . . or a lifetime. . .

Excellent poem. . .
