First Kiss
by Richard Maxfield
4-2-99

Out on the porch
Kind of coy
With just a girl
And a boy

He yawns and stretches
To place his arm
Where he thinks
Will do no harm

He gives a smile
She gives a grin
The next move
He knows not when

He starts to wonder
Will she will flee
If he reaches over
Touches her knee

He gains his courage
Slowly reaches over
She gives a smile
To make him bolder

His heart is racing
Beating so fast
On her leg
His hand at last

She leans over
In hope of a kiss
This is one
She will not miss

He is not for  sure
It’s what she wants
With big soft eyes
She starts to taunt

He takes the chance
To steal the kiss
Quivering lips touch
With heavenly bliss

Pressed together
For a short while
Pull apart
Each with a smile
Bodies flushed
With passion excite
Thoughts of things
That just might

He thinks to himself
He might try
Inch his hand
On to her thigh

Lips come together
A longer kiss
Pressed so tight
With a slight twist

Two young bodies
Hormones rage
Raw emotions
Set free from their cage

Their breath is short
Skin is flushed
One more kiss
Not so rushed

They lean in close
For just another
What’s that sound
It was her mother

Its time to come in
So say goodbye
He’ll be back tomorrow
For one more try

She goes in her room
With thoughts in her head
Takes a deep breath
Falls on her bed

He walks home
In the dark of night
Dreams of tomorrow
What just might

Thank you sweet LL for your comment. I had to go back a few years to write this one.
Love and light,
Richard
