In herbal garden, scents a'swirl
Calm and Quiet at this point
I drift in sighful ponder;
Relaxing muscles, stretching joints
Shall sip the day with frosted glass.
Clearing mind, a glass of tea
and twirl thin straw in wonder
All is silent, it's just me

A wistful novel in my lap,
"MOM?!?!" from upstairs is the yell
splayed open to wind's musk
"You stupid brother, I'm gonna tell!"
Its pages crisply speak the dawns
"I didn't do it, Mom, I swear!"
we trembled until dusk
"I'm writing, kids...now be fair"

Cool, calling breeze a'fingering,
Ahhh, the bliss, the boys asleep
long hair wisps free of bows;
Or so I thought, one comes a'creep
Flows o'er my dew-dropped cleavage,
Kiss on cheek from youngest one
lazed creep to silk-clad toes.
*smooch* & *hug*..."I love you, son

The sun shall peek once-hidden thighs,
I give him water, wipe his nose
shall kiss white skin to cream.
Again to bed, your eyes to close
Of wings and prayers and promises,
and prayers are said again
I surrender to my dream......
God bless Mom, Dad, brothers, Kasey.....
KASEY? Yeah, she's this cute girl. CUTE?...
Yeah, Maybe I'll kiss 'er!.....EEK!......Amen!

You slide cool palm like wind's caress,
I gather thoughts and dream once more....
your lips in gasps unhushed.
Pup wants out, whines by the door
Firm gather with your arms of strength
On leash he does his business
my body limber to your touch.
"Good Boy, Otis!...*patting caress*

In fantasy I sing for you
Maybe I should have been a nurse?
my cries in harmony
but try to write a sexy verse
with pulsing, beating, rhythmed hearts
"Dear, do we have anything to eat?"
we dual-compose love's symphony......
"Yes Dear, in the pantry are new treats"

Awakened slowly, in a daze,
Now WHERE was I? Where WAS I AT?
warm sun, not you, I feel.
Frantically words on paper spat
Yet whispered breezes carry song;
I finished? I finished? I finished a poem?
Our loving....it was real.
And that's how I write when all are home.

~~~
From one busy household to you and yours,
may you have a happy and safe new year !
Hi Victoria, thank you
There's no time like the present I suppose. I'm getting accustomed to writing through distractions
