~Soft Blue Eyes~

I smile in thought when I think
of how you looked at me,
with those soft blue eyes
seeking approval in mine...

I wonder, did you think
I looked the same?
Could you have
picked me out of the crowd
coming through the door,
as I could you?

It was ...
the blue jeans and shades.
Would have known you
anywhere...

Did you smile in thought
as I  approached,
and called your name?
Did you dread the moment
of the meet? Afraid
that we wouldn't be comfortable
with one another?

Your soft side was showing,
and my heart was opened to it...
listening, learning, understanding
and becoming familiar...

You leaned in, closer
and I know you could
hear my heart beating...
see the blush in my cheeks,
feel the laughter vibrating the air
as we shared and shared and shared...

When we parted, did you feel
as if we had known each other
a long time ago, in some other world
where those who are sensitive to others
can exist without shame, without holding back
what is inside that makes them
who they are...

As we hugged goodbye,
I smiled in thought...

~I know you now, not just through your words
but  through your soft blue eyes~

this one's for you...

A lot can be said from just a single look into someones eyes. If you did meet in another life you will know it when you look into their eyes. I have had this feeling  myself and yesterday I recieved an answer to what I seen behind a beautiful pair of eyes. I knew that when our eyes met, our souls touched and the feeling was beyond explanation and neither of us can let go of this unexplainable feeling.

If a dream touches us, it exists to us as anything else that touches us.

Evening Nakdthoughts,

Well my friend, I can't say that I'm in awe of your talent, for I always have been, from the first poem of yours that I read to the latest one. I am very touched, and will always remember that someone thought enough to write something like this. Thank you my friend, and again I am very touched.

My heart has been warmed by you, and thank you again. You're very special.

This is a beautiful love poem. The person I love also has those soft blue eyes... you describe your feelings wonderfully. Thanks for sharing.

Bill...

nothing was more special then getting to meet you in real...words on here are wonderful but the eyes and expressions when speaking to one another face to face mean so much more...and show me the sensitive side of you...huggzz and smiles

Well it is about time that a little spring thaw found it's way to you.  This was lovely my friend in both the heart in it and the presentation.  Excellent read for sure.
