Between the Lines

0 posted 2000-12-02 08:00 PM

This Moment, Now

My eyes, they rest upon this blue
Always seeking calm, serene.
Absorbing, nakedthoughts in view
To take to bed, for memories new.

Fates decree, I brush aside
As nighttime draws me, indigo.
My spirit dreams, in shadows hide
Just one more sleep, on words to glide.

A slippery slope, I "mare" this eve
Hurts, the pain still slicing deep.
Losses more, each day I grieve
My eyes, they cry on pillow sleeve.

Someday, someone shall understand
How sadness overwhelms my now.
Then once again, the touch of hand
Shall grace my soul, my heart to brand.

My eyes, they rest upon this blue
In shadows, hide my dreams for two.
